Like everything we do, privacy of personal information we collect is something we take very seriously. We have always restricted the information provided by research respondents solely to the project concerned. Our voluntary procedure has now been formalized into law with the introduction of the federal (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, or PIPEDA) and provincial (Bill 38, British Columbia) legislation. We fully support the introduction of PIPEDA and abide by all its guidelines.
