RE: Support for BC Liberals Continues to Decline
From: Mustel Group Market Research
Date: July 8, 2004

The most recent Mustel Group poll (taken July 2-6) indicates that support for the BC Liberals continues to decline. If an election were held tomorrow, the BC Liberals would have the support of 33% of decided voters (down from 40% in April) and the NDP the support of 45% of decided voters (up directionally from 41% ).

For the first time in several years, men tend to support the NDP rather than the BC Liberals (44% versus 36% supporting BC Liberals). Among women, 45% would vote NDP and 28% would support the BC Liberals.

Geographically, the NDP leads in every region of the province except the Lower Mainland suburbs (outside the City of Vancouver), where support for the BC Liberals and NDP is almost equal (38% BC Liberals, 40% NDP).
